The
Data Center
Our
servers are housed in a multi-million dollar data
facility; which is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week. Among the equipment installed in the data center
are 7500 series Cisco routers, a 7 terabyte IBM
robotic tape library, IBM RS/6000 SP supercomputers, a
200 KVA UPS emergency power system, and a 2,000 gallon
diesel generator.

Hours
of Operation and Security.
The
Data Center operates 24 hours a day, 7 Days a
week, and has technicians on hand to deal with any
server issues that may arise.
There
are three levels of security. General access to the
building is governed by proximity badge system. Access
to secure areas is restricted by a biometric security
system, and finally people are verified by a
palm scanner before entering.
Your
server is the cornerstone of your company's data
center. Securing it properly is paramount. |
However,
even the most sophisticated office security systems have many
loopholes that make your company’s proprietary data
vulnerable. The data center's 100% automated security
clearances provide the assurances you demand without the
inconveniences and potential risks.

Stopping
fires before they start.
The
Data Center is equipped with a fire suppression
system; which mixes non-toxic FM200 gas with oxygen to
prevent oxygen in the facility from fueling the flames
before they grow out of control. Important, especially
considering that, in the face of a major blaze, the
heat from the flames and the water used to extinguish
them pose more immediate threats to a server than do
the actual flames. Now that’s the protection and
assurance you need. |

How
Prepared will you be during a blackout?
The
data center has reserve energy from two sources. A
high-power battery backup system and a diesel
generator. The battery backup kicks in the moment that
power is lost. Simultaneously, the diesel generator is
activated to take over in the event that the outage
exceeds the capacity of the battery system. Capable of
powering the Data Center for an extended period the
generator concurrently replenishes the batteries to
take over again if the generator expires. Transfer
between the generator and the batteries is seamless,
allowing the Data Center to run continuously with no
power interruptions. |

Ultra-Fast
Network!
Through combining bundles of fiber
optics with the redundant network engineering, we're
able create alternate routes through which data can
travel. This effectively maximizes the throughput
speed and capacity of each strand of fiber-optic
cable. The result is an ultra-fast, ultra-reliable
network connection on which you and your customer can
rely. We use Multiple Redundant T3 connections
which are 29 times faster than a T1 (Terrestrial
Backbone) connection. We have an ATM (Asynchronus
Transfer Mode) Nationwide Network with peering
agreements with dozens of Networks (Peering enables
the data to get to end users faster), and a SONET
(Synchronous Optical Network). |
 |
The
first link between your customer and your Web site is two
complex "rings" of fiber-optic cable known as
a Synchronous Optical Network, or SONET. The SONET rings act
as links in a chain that connect to a virtually indestructible
OC-3 pipe, which then links the Data Center to the Internet.
The rings are synchronized, which allows the data to be
temporarily redirected through the alternate ring until the
primary ring is functional. We have direct connections to
major Internet Hubs on the East and West Coasts. (MAE
EAST, MAE WEST and Chicago).
